Take the first step—together, we’ll build the tools you need to move forward.
FAQs
What can I expect in the first session?
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s been bringing you in, what you’re hoping for, and what feels most important right now. You don’t need to prepare anything or have the “right words.” Together, we’ll begin creating a plan that feels supportive and manageable.
Do you offer in-person or remote therapy?
I offer remote therapy only through secure video sessions. This allows us to work together from wherever you feel most comfortable — without travel or waiting rooms. Telehealth is effective, flexible, and fits easily into your day.
Can you work with clients outside of California or New York?
I’m licensed to provide therapy to clients who are physically located in California or New York at the time of their sessions. This means that to work together, you’ll need to be in one of these states during our appointments.
I know this can be confusing, especially with remote therapy. Licensure rules are set by each state to protect clients and ensure high-quality care. While I wish I could support everyone, I’m only able to work with clients in the states where I’m licensed.
If you’re located in California or New York, we can absolutely work together. If you’re elsewhere, I’m happy to help you think through next steps or encourage you to find support that’s available in your state.
Who do you work with?
I work with adults who are experiencing anxiety, OCD, intrusive thoughts, rumination, and perfectionism. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, motivated, and ready to build tools that create real change.
What does therapy with you feel like?
Therapy with me is warm, structured, and collaborative. We focus on helping you understand what’s happening and practice new ways of responding so you can feel calmer and more confident over time. We move at a pace that feels respectful and supportive.
Do I need to know a lot about therapy or OCD to start?
Not at all. You don’t need to understand therapy terms or diagnoses. Together, we’ll keep everything clear, simple, and focused on what actually helps you feel better in daily life.
How long does therapy usually last?
Everyone’s journey is different. Some people come in for focused, short-term support, while others stay longer to strengthen and maintain progress. Throughout our work, we regularly check in to make sure therapy continues to feel helpful and aligned with your goals. Our work is focused on progress, not pressure, with the goal that you eventually trust yourself enough to move forward without therapy.
Do you take insurance?
I am a private-pay provider. I can provide a superbill if you’d like to seek out-of-network reimbursement through your insurance plan. I’m happy to answer questions so you can decide what works best for you.
How do I get started?
Getting started is simple.
Click the “Book a Phone Consult” button to schedule a brief call. From there, we’ll talk about what you’re looking for, what working together could look like, and next steps if it feels like a good fit.
What if I’m nervous about reaching out?
That’s completely okay. Reaching out can feel vulnerable, especially when you’ve been carrying a lot on your own. You don’t need to be certain or confident — just open to taking one small step. Together, we can take it from there.
